SANTA'S WORKSHOP

Santa and his elves love nothing more than to make holiday toys for the world’s girls and boys…

Where you’ll find it: The Wee Book Inn, 10310 Whyte Avenue
When you can see it:
Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Friday 6 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.
Sunday 9 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Interesting Facts:

Did you know: Because we were unable to find green and white striped socks, or even fabric, the elves socks were made by stretching white baby's tights over a cardboard tube and masking off stripes with tape and then spray painting them green.
Dimensions: This diamond-shaped display, nine feet deep and eight feet high, covers the expanse of a full three of the Wee Book Inn’s front bay windows.
Number of characters: All five characters in this display – four elves and one Santa – move through the technology of animatronics. (Well, wait a second: is it technology or is it magic?)
More cool facts: Add this window display together with the other eight Return of the Magic displays along Whyte Avenue and here’s what you get: a total of 79 characters (including all animals, 61 moving characters and 18 static characters).

Q: How long did take to build all Return of the Magic displays, in total?
A: 4500 hours.
